We ended Part I of the interview where we were talking about a reddish Colorado wrapper Camacho is trying to develop for a new cigar, and the commercialization of new products…
So you have this beautiful Colorado wrapper.
The band you’re going to put on that Colorado wrapper has to match the wrapper. It’s not just the flavor … remember, we want to give people a full experience. A guy who’s going to spend $5, $6, $7, $8, $10 to $15 a cigar, whatever he pays for the cigars, they should get what they pay for. You’ve got to attract every single sense.
You can’t hear a cigar, but you can see it, you can smell it, you can touch it and you can taste it. If we could make a cigar that speaks, we can hit all five senses … but we can’t. (Laughter). Who knows, maybe somebody will…

Not too many would argue the fact that Camacho is one of the fastest growing and hottest brands of cigars in the entire world. Sure, they have a phenomenal product, but they damned well know how to treat people right! And this July at the International Premium Cigars and Pipes tradeshow in Las Vegas, Nevada, the boys & girls from Miami treated industry peeps and fans alike to three days of Happy Hour happiness at the swank V-Bar in the Venetian Hotel and Casino.
A few days ago I headed down to my parents house to pay them a visit. While I was there my father got to talking about this email he received from Cigars International in regards to a Camacho Event they had planned. The email stated that they were having Christian Eiroa, from Camacho Cigars, out for a informational session on the brand and the family history.
Due to limited seating each attendee was asked to call ahead and reserve a seat. I picked up the phone and gave CI a call to reserve my seat and ask if it would be alright if I recorded the session. After a short conversation my seat was reserved and I had the green light on recording Christian’s talk pending Camacho’s approval.

Cigar Review owner, Kevin Godbee, paid a visit to the offices of Camacho Cigars in Miami to interview it’s President, Christian Eiroa. The cigar business is certainly in the blood of this MBA holding, 36-year old. He was born and raised in Honduras and his father started the original company Caribe Imported Cigars which evolved into Camacho Cigars. Christian has been the President of Camacho since 1998. During this interview, Christian smoked the Camacho Corojo and I enjoyed the new Camacho 10th Anniversary while we sat on plush leather couches in Christian’s richly appointed office. (more…)
