When I think of Camacho the Camacho Corojo is the cigar that immediately comes to mind. I first tried this cigar a few years ago and I remember not really enjoying it. I wasn’t used to smoking cigars this strong and having this cigar after a few too many drinks wasn’t one of my best ideas. (more…)
The Camacho 10th Anniversary line is, appropriately, the tenth blend now available under the Camacho banner. This “Edición Limitada” will be limited to a run of 300,000 cigars. It’s offered in boxes of 21 in four different sizes: the cigar I’m featuring to day is the 6-inch by 54-ring torpedo. (more…)
Made from the same wrappers as the Diploma, 11/18 and 07/05 – The Corona leaf (fifth priming) of the AUTHENTIC COROJO seed available only from the Eiroa family!
The newest additions, the Camacho Scorpion and the Diploma 60×6 , will finally be distributed nationwide. Previously available in only two stores, you may now receive these limited production cigars. It is well known that the Camacho Corojo Diploma is Christian’s absolute favorite cigar because of its strength, complexity, and smooth finish.

Previewed at the 2007 RTDA Convention and released this month, the Camacho 10th Anniversary held the promise of continuing the brand’s revitalization – and it delivers. This line is characterized by all the flavor and complexity of the Corojo Diploma line, but delivered in a medium-bodied blend that is much more approachable for the average smoker. Most interesting is the Torpedo (6.125″ x 54). This beautiful box-pressed vitolla has a great balance in filler vs. wrapper contribution. Its thin wrapper pays off in aroma and in the consistency of the burn. One of the few cigars on the market well worth the $12.25 price tag.
Verdict = Buy

I reviewed this week for the Stogie Review, the cigar for this review has a tie in to Dogwatch Cigar Radio. Walt and I were originally scheduled to appear on the show about three shows ago at this point. The show’s featured cigar was the Camacho Corojo Maduro, which I’d never tried. Well, it was sort of like studying for a test in college only to have the professor not show the day of the exam. Due to last minute scheduling issues beyond anyone’s control, our appearance on the show rescheduled for the next week. And a different week means a different cigar. So what do I do with all these smoking Camacho Corojo Maduro Torpedo notes? Well, it was clear. I need to give it a review. So here goes. (more…)
