When I think of Camacho the Camacho Corojo is the cigar that immediately comes to mind. I first tried this cigar a few years ago and I remember not really enjoying it. I wasn’t used to smoking cigars this strong and having this cigar after a few too many drinks wasn’t one of my best ideas. (more…)

STORAGE CONDITIONS: These smokes have been stored in their original box inside a cabinet humidor set at 69%RH. I moved them from my Aristocrat cabinet humidor, which also had an RH% set at 69%. I am always moving boxes around my three cabinets, for one reason or another. The temperature these past three months has ranged between 66-72 degrees F.
This is the third in a series of reviews on this special edition stick from Camacho Cigars.
Havana H2 |
Camacho Havana H2 is one fat and powerful smoke. It’s not as kick-a$$ as the Camacho Corojo Monarca, but they still are quite full-bodied. Regular cedary and spicy flavors make it a nice 40-minutes short smoke.
Appearance :
The wrapper is quite dark and of modest quality. The cigar fits nice in hand and the band looks good.
Like the Havana, the 1962 is a medium bodied blend with a criollo wrapper, so I snagged a fiver on C-bid a couple months ago hoping that I would like it as much as the Havana. The fresh Havana blend, I should say.
The big word on Camacho has lately been their 10th Anniversary Limitada (a triple corojo which should be hitting the shelves any day now) and the Triple Maduro, which has gotten mixed reviews. The 1962 was released sometime last year, but has existed in relative obscurity, perhaps because it is a Cigars International exclusive.

I had to put this pic in. Smoking a Camacho SLR maduro and loving it. A substantial smoke in terms of flavor and construction. (more…)
Description: I just recently had a chance to try a Camacho Havana for the first time. My local shops never carried them and after getting a couple from a friend I was on a mission to hunt down a box.
A Honduran Puro, and contains Corojo Filler and Binder like many of Camacho’s cigars. The Criollo wrapper mellows this cigar out a bit leaving just short of full bodied.
Each one I’ve smoked has been well constructed. They tend to run a bit softer than most cigars and typically have an easy draw. The wrapper doesn’t have any noticeably large veins. I picked up a hint of leather on the pre-light draw check. (more…)
