Camacho Corojo Maduro Torpedo Review @ Brian’s Random Thoughts

Friday, March 7th, 2008

I reviewed this week for the Stogie Review, the cigar for this review has a tie in to Dogwatch Cigar Radio. Walt and I were originally scheduled to appear on the show about three shows ago at this point. The show’s featured cigar was the Camacho Corojo Maduro, which I’d never tried. A little homework seemed in order, so I picked up a handful of them the week of the recording.

Well, it was sort of like studying for a test in college only to have the professor not show the day of the exam. Due to last minute scheduling issues beyond anyone’s control, our appearance on the show rescheduled for the next week. And a different week means a different cigar. So what do I do with all these smoking Camacho Corojo Maduro Torpedo notes? Well, it was clear. I need to give it a review. So here goes. (more…)

Camacho SLR Torpedo Review @ CigarJack.net

Description: I got this cigar as part of a word of mouth promotion they are trying over at Social Cigar, Camacho’s new online cigar community. I love the dark maduro contrasting the silver bands. The wrapper is a bit rough looking, but has some crystals on the wrapper. This is one of those cigars that I sat inspecting for a few minutes before lighting it.

Camacho Triple Maduro Torpedo CigarThe Triple Maduro doesn’t pull any punches, starting off with some woody and espresso flavors. It gives off a ton of white smoke while your puffing on it, but not much sitting in the ashtray. I did have some burn issues that required some touch up, but it evened up after awhile. (more…)

Camacho Select Torpedo Reviewed by CigarsByMatt

Country: Honduras

Filler: Honduras

Wrapper: Cameroon

Size: Torpedo

It took a while but the much anticipated Camacho Select is finally on store shelves. I attended a Camacho smoker at the Tobacconist of Cary this week and picked up a handful. While I was there I enjoyed a Select Torpedo. I had the opportunity to smoke several of the pre-production versions of this cigar, all of which were phenomenal Cameroon cigars so I was looking forward to the production release quite anxiously.
